The second approach to vocabulary has two activities. Many of the words have multiple definitions so the students can choose the one they are most comfortable with. The student will use the definitions of each word to create sentences. � Whole class reading guided by the teacherĮach novel study starts with students being introduced to ten words that are used in the novel. � Small group reading guided by the teacher � Small group independent reading at student created paced � Independent reading at student created paced The novel study can be used in four ways: They might make a bad decision� Should Wendy and Elliot turn around and look for their parents or should they have a little fun first? I guess children shouldn�t be bored on vacation. Walking in the woods they discover a sports camp like no other. Bad idea! The camper came unhitched and slid into the woods. Wendy and Elliot were on vacation with their parents.
